ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Gestalt Psychotherapist specializing in individual and couples therapy.   At present I maintain a private practice in Raleigh and I am currently starting a new practice at The Southeast Women's Center in Clayton, North Carolina.

With over 25 years experience as a psychotherapist, a Masters in Clinical Social Work and as a graduate of The Gestalt Institute of London specializing in Gestalt psychotherapy and hypnosis, I also have advanced training in Psychosynthesis and EMDR.  I am  currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my  areas of expertise are trauma, depression, eating disorders and addictions.   Over the past few years I have had the priviledge to work with individuals effected by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder related to war, childhood abuse and trauma related to the suicide of a loved one.

Over the past 25 years I have had private offices in New York City, New Jersey, London, and Boston.  Currently I practice solely in North Carolina. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I have also provided clinical supervision and consultation to other psychotherapists and worked as a consultant to psychiatric hospitals, addiction recovery centers and mental health managed care companies.

I am an interactive, experiential  and solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I work to integrate complementary methodologies and techniques that offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.  My aim is that with compassion and understanding, I  work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
